Kvadrat Reveals New Milan Showrooms at Salone del Mobile 2021

For the 2021 edition of Salone del Mobile Kvadrat presented exciting new collections in its redesigned showroom spaces in Corso Monforte.

The redesigned Kvadrat showroom by Alfredo Häberli celebrated Kvadrat’s collaboration with Peter Saville, exhibiting his first textile collection, Technicolour. A craft-orientated, sculptural collection that visually and haptically translates the industrial processes in textile production.

Kvadrat’s newly designed residential space, reimagined by Vincent Van Duysen Architects, will host Kvadrat’s new curtain collection, Storylines. A collection that explores intervals between texture, pattern and colour.

Alfredo Häberli redesigns Kvadrat’s Milan showroom

Thirteen years after designing the Kvadrat showroom in Milan acclaimed designer Alfredo Häberli has recreated the space once more. His concept reflects the longstanding journey he has been on with the company, as well as Kvadrat’s evolution into a constellation of brands.

The experience of the showroom, which is located in Milan’s design hub, is shaped by the presentation of Kvadrat’s colourful textiles. Finely structured shelves, a bold illuminated cabinet, curtains and carpets are centre stage while upholstered cabinet doors create a visual backbone. White walls and metal elements, together with neutral oak and grey stone floors, provide a pure backdrop for the vibrant fabrics on show.

For Salone, the showroom exhibited an installation of new textiles by Peter Saville. The collection entitled Technicolour is a craft-orientated, sculptural collection that visually and haptically translates the industrial processes in textile production.

Residential showroom by Vincent Van Duysen Architects

Salone del Mobile also marked the opening of Kvadrat’s new high-end residential showroom.

Vincent Van Duysen has created a space that conveys a sense of warmth and comfort, whilst also representing the heritage and expertise of Kvadrat’s residential collections. Inside the space, the designers have created a Milanese living room, in which customers can be met in two different environments, formal and informal.

The elegant and sophisticated space will feature the full offering of the company’s residential collections and brands: Kvadrat/Raf Simons, Kvadrat curtains, and its rugs.

Primarily to be used by interior designers specialising in residential projects, the showroom will serve as an inspirational resource for home decor.
