Kvadrat wool classics

Kvadrat’s woollen textile collection is an anthology of design stories. Created in close collaboration with renowned creatives, it embodies our leadership in colour and design and our commitment to quality, longevity and sustainability. All our woollen textiles come with a 10-year warranty; most carry the EU Ecolabel.

To safeguard the high quality of our textiles and to support our desire to continuously innovate our processes, we require a close collaboration with our production partners. We, therefore, co-own our leading mills, Wooltex in the United Kingdom and Innvik in Norway, which produce 80% of our woollen textiles.

Mindful making

Our woollen textiles are made out of the highest quality New Zealand wool. Good quality wool and animal welfare are closely linked to our corporate values and responsible approach to our business. We require that our wool suppliers follow our code of conduct and comply with animal welfare regulations.

Quality and longevity

Kvadrat is deeply rooted in design culture and maintains an uncompromising focus on quality. Since our foundation in 1968, we have concentrated on developing products that combine the best quality materials with extraordinary design. For us, quality and design go hand in hand with sustainability, as we want to ensure that our products last for decades.

Kvadrat’s woollen textile collection

Kvadrat’s first textile, Hallingdal 65 has become the archetype of woollen textiles. The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel.

Re-wool, a recycled wool upholstery textile by Margrethe Odgaard, is the result of a close collaboration with our UK manufacturer Wooltex. As Re-wool is made with 45% recycled wool, it reduces environmental impact. The recycled fibres have already been processed and thereby, it takes farming, transportation, scouring and dyeing out of the equation.

Divina 3 by Finn Sködt is a soft and comfortable felt-like textile with an attractive and smooth surface. It is ideal for organically shaped furniture for both contract and private use. Divina means heavenly, or divine, and the name was chosen because of the way the colours are expressed in the material.

Compact, comfortable and extremely smooth, Divina Melange 3 is a vibrant piece-dyed woollen upholstery textile reminiscent of felt.

Divina MD is a woollen upholstery textile available in sophisticated, rich colours, which reveal hidden depths as the perspective of the viewer changes, it makes a strong colour statement.

Steelcut 2 is a hardwearing upholstery textile, which is an evolution of the original Steelcut with an expanded colour scale. It is designed by Frans Dijkmeijer and coloured by Giulio Ridolfo.

Originally designed by Frans Dijkmeijer, Steelcut Trio 3 comes in updated colourways crafted by Giulio Ridolfo. The three-dimensional surface of Steelcut Trio 3 resembles small pyramids or steel points. Despite the complexity of the textile’s innovative weave, it has a simple, precise expression.

Remix is an elegant upholstery textile distinguished by exceptional depth of colour, designed by Giulio Ridolfo.

Versatile Remix 3 is suitable for both contract and private use. It is very durable and, as a result, offers a long-life span.

Remix Screen is a lighter version of the acclaimed textile Remix 3, which is specially developed for wall panels, desk screens and similar applications.
